About Garren Hitner

Garren Hitner is a key part of the Timber Town team, bringing deep, hands-on expertise in timber, forestry, and working land. He grew up in Coos County, where his family has long been involved in logging, forest management, and ranching, giving him a lifelong connection to the land and the communities Timber Town serves.Garren owns and operates Century Forest Management, a company focused on logging, timber harvest, and forest management across Oregon. Through that work, he has developed extensive knowledge of timber value, forest conditions, and land management, and provides Timber Town clients with in-house timber insight, timber cruises, and valuation support. His real-world experience working in the woods adds an important layer of understanding when evaluating rural property, helping ensure that both the land and its long-term potential are fully considered.

Family-Owned Business

Led by Experience and Systems Thinking

Timber Town is led by Jenny Hitner, Principal Broker, whose background brings a unique perspective to rural real estate.

Before entering the industry, Jenny earned degrees in mathematics and physics, followed by a master’s degree in mechanical engineering. She spent nearly a decade designing agricultural equipment — work that required analyzing complex systems, solving practical problems, and understanding how decisions affect real-world outcomes.

That same systems-based mindset now shapes how Timber Town approaches land and rural property.

Rather than viewing real estate as a simple transaction, we evaluate the full system surrounding each property — including land characteristics, timber resources, access, improvements, zoning, and long-term use. Understanding how these pieces interact allows clients to move forward with greater confidence and fewer surprises.

Our Commitment to Rural Communities

Beyond real estate transactions, Timber Town is deeply connected to the communities and industries that shape rural Oregon.

Through involvement with organizations supporting agriculture, forestry, and rural land stewardship, we stay closely connected to the people and policies influencing the future of working lands. This perspective helps ensure our guidance reflects not only current market conditions but also the broader context affecting rural property ownership.

Our goal is simple: help landowners make decisions that protect both their interests and the long-term value of the land itself.
